Mitochondrial Dynamics and Its Role in Cellular Senescence: An Empirical Analysis of Mitophagy Modulation
Keywords:
Mitophagy, Cellular Senescence, Mitochondrial Dynamics, Aging, Mitochondrial Quality ControlAbstract
Mitochondrial dynamics, particularly mitophagy, play a crucial role in cellular homeostasis and aging. This study examines the modulation of mitophagy and its effects on cellular senescence using advanced imaging techniques and mitophagy-deficient models. Our findings suggest a significant correlation between enhanced mitophagy and delayed senescence, highlighting potential therapeutic aspects for age-related diseases. The study provides novel insights into mitochondrial quality control mechanisms and their implications for cellular longevity.
