Abstract

Syndromic surveillance has emerged as a cornerstone in public health intelligence, particularly following the COVID-19 pandemic. This study critically examines the efficacy of traditional syndromic systems, utilizing a mixed-methods approach to analyze data from diverse healthcare settings. Results indicate significant discrepancies in data accuracy, highlighting the need for integration with modern informatics. The study underscores the paradigm shift towards real-time, interoperable systems that enhance rapid response capabilities. We conclude that re-engineering surveillance methodologies is crucial for future-proofing public health paradigms.
