Abstract

This study explores the impact of urbanization on mental health, analyzing data from rapidly growing cities across different continents. Through a mix of quantitative data analysis and qualitative interviews, the research investigates the psychosocial stressors associated with urban living, such as overcrowding, pollution, and social isolation. It also examines the role of urban design and green spaces in promoting mental well-being. By comparing cities in South America, Africa, and Asia, the study provides a comprehensive view of the mental health challenges posed by urbanization and offers policy recommendations for healthier urban environments.
