Adaptive reuse has emerged as a significant approach in contemporary architecture, addressing the dual challenges of resource scarcity and cultural preservation. This study conducts a comparative evaluation of various adaptive reuse strategies, focusing on their sustainability outcomes and the impact on urban identity. Employing a mixed-methods approach, we analyze case studies from diverse geographical contexts and evaluate their architectural, environmental, and social performances. The findings reveal that while some strategies enhance sustainability by reducing waste and energy consumption, others fail to adequately preserve the cultural significance of heritage structures. This research contributes to the ongoing discourse on sustainable urban development, offering recommendations for practitioners and policymakers.
