Abstract

This article examines the impact of trade liberalization on industrial development in Southeast Asia. By analyzing trade policies and industrial growth from 1995 to 2020, the study highlights the positive and negative consequences of opening up trade. Our results indicate that while trade liberalization has spurred industrial growth, it has also led to increased competition and market volatility. The findings offer critical insights for policymakers aiming to balance growth and stability.
