Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Articles
Innovations in Teaching publishes original, peer-reviewed research that explores creative and effective approaches to education across disciplines. The journal welcomes both theoretical and applied contributions that highlight innovative teaching practices, learning technologies, and strategies that improve educational outcomes.
Research Articles – Empirical studies presenting new findings in pedagogy, instructional design, educational psychology, and technology-enhanced learning. Articles should follow the IMRAD structure and include clear methodology, results, discussion, and educational implications.
Review Articles – Systematic or narrative reviews synthesizing advancements in teaching methods, assessment strategies, and educational technologies. Reviews should summarize existing research, identify gaps, and suggest new directions for innovation in education.
Case Studies – Practical examples of innovative teaching interventions, classroom applications, or curriculum reform. Case studies should describe context, implementation, challenges, and measurable outcomes in learning and engagement.
Practice-Based Papers – Applied reports and reflective papers focusing on teaching experiences, innovations in pedagogy, or institutional strategies. Submissions should emphasize practical value and transferability to other educational contexts.
