The Revival of Indigenous Religions in Latin America

Abstract

This study examines the resurgence of indigenous religious practices in Latin America, focusing on the cultural and political factors driving this revival. By analyzing ethnographic data from indigenous communities in Mexico, Peru, and Brazil, the research highlights the role of these practices in preserving cultural identity and resisting external influences. The findings suggest that the revival of indigenous religions is not only a spiritual movement but also a form of political resistance and cultural affirmation.
