Abstract

This paper examines the impact of Eastern Orthodox theological concepts on the development of modern English literature. By analyzing key works from the 19th and 20th centuries, the study identifies the theological underpinnings that have shaped literary themes, character development, and narrative structures. Special attention is given to the works of Fyodor Dostoevsky and Leo Tolstoy, whose writings reflect a deep engagement with Orthodoxy. The research enhances understanding of how religious thought has permeated literature, contributing to broader cultural and historical discourses.
