Articles
Modern Language Research publishes original, peer-reviewed research advancing the understanding of contemporary languages and linguistics. The journal welcomes both theoretical and applied contributions that explore language structure, use, acquisition, and teaching across diverse linguistic and cultural contexts.
Research Articles – Empirical and analytical studies presenting new findings in syntax, semantics, phonology, sociolinguistics, or language pedagogy. Articles should follow the IMRAD structure, providing detailed methodology, results, interpretation, and implications for linguistic theory or practice.
Review Articles – Systematic or narrative reviews synthesizing developments in linguistics, language acquisition, translation studies, or language education. Reviews should critically summarize current research, identify theoretical or methodological gaps, and propose new perspectives or frameworks.
Case Studies – In-depth analyses of linguistic phenomena, translation projects, or classroom-based language teaching innovations. Case studies should include context, analytical approach, findings, and implications for linguistic research or applied linguistics.
Theoretical Papers – Conceptual or model-based contributions advancing linguistic theory, comparative frameworks, or discourse analysis. These papers should present original arguments and link theory with empirical evidence or linguistic application.
