Abstract

This article explores cultural identity in postcolonial literature, focusing on the works of select authors from Africa and the Caribbean. By examining recurring themes and narrative strategies, the study highlights how these authors articulate cultural identity and resistance to colonial legacies. The paper employs a comparative analysis to understand the diverse expressions of identity and how they reflect broader socio-political contexts. The findings demonstrate that postcolonial literature serves as a powerful tool for expressing cultural hybridity and challenging dominant narratives.
