Impact of Play Therapy on Social Skills Development in Children with Autism

This article focuses on the effectiveness of play therapy in enhancing social skills among children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Conducted in specialized therapy centers in the United Kingdom, the research employs qualitative methods to assess improvements in communication, cooperation, and empathy. Results demonstrate that play therapy significantly benefits children with ASD by fostering essential social interactions. These findings advocate for the integration of play therapy into standard care practices for ASD. Ongoing research is recommended to fine-tune therapeutic approaches for diverse populations.
