Abstract

This study explores how digital communication technologies affect the development of social skills in adolescents. With the growing prevalence of smartphones and social media, concerns about their impact on face-to-face interaction skills have emerged. Our research examines the correlation between screen time and social competence through surveys and observational methods. We found that increased digital communication correlates with decreased social empathy and face-to-face interaction skills, suggesting a need for balanced technology use.
